Teeth-Straightening Solutions for All Ages
Whether you’re a teenager or an adult, there’s an orthodontic solution that can work for you. Beyond improving the look of your smile, orthodontic treatments play a key role in boosting your oral health. Misaligned teeth and an uneven bite can lead to difficulties with cleaning, which may cause discomfort or even pain. The good news is that these issues can often be resolved in as little as 6 months.
Do You Need Orthodontic Treatment?
You may benefit from orthodontics if you’ve experienced any of the following:
- Overbite – when your upper teeth are positioned too far forward.
- Spacing – gaps or spaces between teeth.
- Underbite – when your lower teeth extend too far forward.
- Crowding – teeth that overlap or are difficult to floss.
- Crossbite – a misaligned bite that feels uncomfortable.
- Pain – chronic headaches, jaw discomfort, or pain in the upper back and neck.
Straightening your teeth can address these issues, improving both your smile and your overall comfort.

A Better Smile, a Healthier Mouth
Straighter teeth aren’t just about aesthetics—they’re essential for your oral health. Crooked or crowded teeth can make brushing and flossing difficult, leading to tooth decay, gum disease, and other issues. Misaligned teeth can also cause breathing problems, uneven wear, and even jaw deterioration.
Nearly 90% of people experience some degree of crowding or misalignment, which can contribute to:
- Chipped front teeth
- Tooth loss
- Food getting stuck between teeth
- Difficulty flossing and cleaning properly
- Increased risk of cavities between teeth
- Gum disease
If you’re noticing any of these issues, we encourage you to book an appointment at our Beamsville dental office for a thorough evaluation of your oral health.
What to Expect From Your ClearCorrect Clear Aligner Treatment
Our goal is to help you achieve both a healthy and beautiful smile by ensuring your teeth are properly aligned and functioning as they should. No matter your age, it’s never too late to benefit from teeth straightening.
Your Treatment Plan
The ClearCorrect journey begins with digital scans of your teeth. Using these scans, we create a detailed projection of how your teeth will move throughout the treatment, right up to the final result. Once your plan is finalized, your custom aligners are crafted using advanced 3D printing technology.
The First Aligners
When your first set of aligners arrives, small fasteners may be temporarily attached to your teeth. These fasteners help keep your aligners in place and are barely noticeable. They’ll be removed once your treatment is complete.
Follow-Up Appointments
You’ll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, with your teeth gradually shifting into place. Every 1-2 months, we’ll schedule a follow-up appointment to monitor your progress and ensure the treatment is on track. By the end, your teeth will be in their correct, final position, giving you the smile you’ve always wanted.

to schedule an initial consultation & exam.
Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and, most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.
Frequently Asked Questions
ClearCorrect aligners are more comfortable and discreet compared to traditional braces. The clear, custom-fit trays are barely noticeable, and they can be removed for important occasions. Unlike braces, which can pinch or scratch, the trays are smooth and easily adjustable if they rub against your gums. Plus, ClearCorrect applies gentler pressure, moving a few teeth at a time, making it a much more comfortable option than braces.
ClearCorrect shifts your teeth gradually, so discomfort is usually minimal. Minor changes may be completed in just a few weeks with little to no pain. For more complex adjustments, the process takes longer, but comfort is a priority. If you experience any pain, let us know, and we can adjust your treatment.
On average, it takes between 6 and 12 months for your teeth to move into their final position with ClearCorrect. Many patients notice movement within the first 6 weeks. The duration depends on how many changes you want, but the process is gradual to ensure comfort and effectiveness.
You should clean your trays and teeth twice a day. Always rinse your aligner before putting it back in if you remove it, and avoid letting it sit in open air when not in use. You can soak the trays in denture cleaner or ClearCorrect cleaning crystals for deeper cleaning. Avoid eating or drinking while wearing your trays, and do not use toothpaste to clean them. We will provide detailed care instructions with your first set of trays.
No, you should always remove your aligners before eating. Chewing with your aligners in can damage or crack them, and it can get messy. Be sure to take them out before meals to protect your aligners.
Yes, you should wear your ClearCorrect aligners all day and night, including when you sleep. They need to be worn constantly, except when eating or drinking, to effectively shift your teeth over time.
Orthodontic treatment is ideal for younger patients, especially before most adult teeth have come in. If you have a teen, we recommend bringing them in for a consultation. However, orthodontic treatment is also available for adults, so it’s never too late to get the smile you want!
